| Calgary Chair Kim Sturgess (2008-2010) Kim Sturgess is CEO and founder of Alberta WaterSMART, a not-for-profit organization committed to improving the management of water resources. She is a registered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. Her current board appointments include CCI Thermal Technologies Inc. and the Canadian Academy of Engineering. ![]() | Ottawa (2009-2011) Helen Hirsh Spence is an internationally recognized educator with 20 years' of leadership experience in both public and private education, most recently as Head of an all-girls' private school.. A career-long innovator, she championed pace-setting changes such as ethno-cultural equity programs, partnerships with businesses and communities and professionals-in-residence programs. She now consults and volunteers internationally, helping non-profits to build schools and advising on best practices. As a facilitator at retreats and conferences, she shares her expertise on topics ranging from leadership development to the design of learning environments. Widely published, she worked with Bruce Mau and others on the recently published book The Third Teacher. | ||
![]() | Montreal Chair/Director Deborah Shannon Trudeau is Vice-President, Licensing & Interntional Business at Trudeau Corporation, where she develops a wide range of products such as kitchen gadgets and wine accessories. She was one of the first in her industry to recognize the benefits of private label and licensing, and pioneered the development of licensed programs in Europe, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Active int he community, Deborah has chaired numerous fundraising events for the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, among others. ![]() | Toronto Chair(2008-2010) Sylvia Chrominska Sylvia Chrominska is Group Head of Global Human Resources and Communications for Scotiabank. She has chaired both the Board of Governors of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and the Human Resources Committee of the Canadian Bankers Association. She currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Stratford Festival of Canada, the Dean's Advisory Board of the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and the Advisory Council of Habitat for Humanity. She also chairs the Capital Campaign for Women's College Hospital. Honoured by the WYCA as a Woman of Distinction for Corporate Leadership, Sylvia was recognized in four consecutive years by Women's Executive Network as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada. ![]() | Waterloo Chair/Director In previous executive positions at Bell Canada, Ginny helped to drive innovation within the telecommunications industry.As President and CEO of Bell Advanced Communications, Ginny's accomplishments included the creation of Canada's Information Highway, CA*net; the formation of a Professional Services business unit within Bell Canada and the pioneering of Bell's first successful Electronic Commerce service offering. Subsequently, as head of Marketing for a high tech start-up, Ginny was responsible for expanding the reach and influence of a successful software firm operating around the world. A former member of the Board of Governors for the University of Western Ontario, Ginny serves on the Youth in Motion Educational Foundation. She is a member of The Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

![]() | Atlantic Chair/Director As President and CEO of Film Nova Scotia, Ann has aggressively promoted the province's talented filmcommunity and beautiful locations internationally. Under her leadership the Corporation has partnered with the filmcommunity on projects of a financial or training nature, resulting in annual production revenues of more than $100 million and the creation of over 2000 jobs in the past decade. She led the creation of Nova Scotia's first industry-wide long-term strategy in 2004 and is active in film policy development at both provincial and national levels. Ann has been honoured by the Halifax-Cornwallis Progress Club with the Progress Women of Excellence Award in the Arts & Culture category. She is active in the community through the Kids Help Phone, Metro United Way and The Arthritis Society.
