How does Member Login Work?
I don’t understand the member login procedure. Why does it take me to the international site, and how do I get a member ID? I was hoping the IWF Canada site would include a user-friendly database where members could prepare and update their profiles without navigating elsewhere.
It may seem counter-intuitive, but our aim is to save you time and trouble. Members are responsible for updating their own profiles, and creating a separate IWF Canada database of members would require you make the updates on two sites: our own and the international one. This is why you’re being directed to the international site.
We’ll do everything we can to help you use it effectively. Here’s how to get started:
- Ask our administrator, Lianne Ulin, to provide your member ID if you don’t already have one (lianne@mbacal.com or 514-769-4643).
- Once you reach the international site, click “submit.” You will then be taken to the Welcome page, where you won’t see any mention of profile updates or a member database. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “next.” You will arrive at the Member Home page. You will then see “update profile” on the left-hand side under “member services.”
- We have advised the web team at the international site that the Member Home page makes a much more user-friendly starting point for explorations than the existing Welcome page. We will be working with our colleagues in Washington to simplify the process. Meanwhile, please bear with them—and with us.
