The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the world's largest bank by market value, is moving into Canada with plans to compete directly with domestic financial institutions in some key markets. The Connecticut Women’s Forum (CWF) was honored to have Michele Stanners, from the Canada Forum, as their guest speaker for its March 2010 program in Westport, Connecticut. Michele, currently a Fellow with the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University shared her research on how the arts have been used as a revolutionary tool to bring about extraordinary social change in depressed economic and often violent regions of the world.
