Ottawa Chapter Chair & Canada Connects 2027 Liaison

Claudia Thompson ICD.D brings more than 35 years of executive leadership experience to her role as Ottawa Chapter Chair. She retired from Accenture in April 2025 after a standout career that included multiple senior leadership roles on the Canadian Leadership Team. Over nine years as Canada Health & Public Service Lead, she shaped strategy for the sector and delivered sustained double-digit growth. She also served for a decade as Inclusion & Diversity Lead, implementing national initiatives that strengthened Accenture’s position as one of Canada’s most inclusive employers.

Today, Claudia serves in several board and advisory roles focused on equality, innovation, and

community impact, including as Chair of the Board for Christie Gardens Apartments and Care. Her leadership has earned national recognition, including WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100, the Catalyst Business Leader Champion Award, and Women We Admire Top 50 Women Leaders in Business

& Consulting Services. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University, the ICD.D designation, and a certificate in Not-for-Profit Governance.

An IWF Fellows alumna, Claudia lives in Ottawa, where she enjoys time with her husband, son, and their energetic sheltie, Maverick.
