Patricia McLeod is a corporate director, board chair and former senior legal executive, privacy and compliance officer. Patricia was recognized by the Premier of Alberta for contribution to Alberta with a Queen's Platinum Jubilee medal in 2022 and by WXN as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women for 2018 and 2019. Patricia has held legal and compliance roles in a range of industries, including: • Energy utilities and deregulated retail electricity • Property development • Mortgage brokerage, insurance and financial services Patricia has worked on a diverse range of projects, such as: • Merger of two Inuit-owned airlines serving Canada's northern communities (Board Director, Chair of HR Committee) • Integration of four Alberta Innovates crown corporations (Board Director, Chair of Governance & HR Committee) • Multiple CEO searches, succession planning practices & performance oversight • Negotiating and drafting joint venture documents for regulated transmission infrastructure project (2012 budget of ~ $620M) in Alberta (Associate General Counsel) • Board Chair oversight of construction and operation of the Calgary Film Centre and cSPACE Projects King Edward arts incubator and heritage building restoration (Chair of Boards) • Strategic planning process to include long term corporate sustainability metrics and measures for success (VP Corporate Responsibility) • Negotiating and drafting joint venture agreements for the first electricity generation wind farm in Alberta (Senior legal counsel) A sought-after speaker, Patricia has delivered talks on governance, leadership, privacy, cyber security compliance, and regulatory issues.
